Does LocalLingo work without the internet?
Translation works offline after a compatible model has been downloaded. Model download itself requires network access.
Is speech recognition always offline?
Speech recognition depends on iOS language and device support. LocalLingo clearly separates translation support from speech input and playback support.
Why not use every available model variant?
The first release prioritizes the stable Q4_K_M path. Smaller variants will be enabled only when the underlying runtime can load and generate reliably.
