Offline Text Translation
Type or paste text, translate with the local model, then copy, save, share, or replay the translated result.
Private AI Translator
LocalLingo Offline Translate keeps conversations on your device, works when the network does not, and feels ready for real travel, work, and daily life.
Product experience
LocalLingo brings translation, playback, conversation, phrasebook, and model management into a calm interface that stays useful under pressure.
Type or paste text, translate with the local model, then copy, save, share, or replay the translated result.
Speak naturally when supported by iOS speech recognition, then send the transcript into the same private local translation workflow.
Capture face-to-face bilingual exchanges with clear turns, translated bubbles, and repeatable voice playback.
Keep practical phrases ready for travel, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, shopping, business, and emergency situations.
Native iOS polish
The interface is built around fast decisions: choose languages, translate, listen, switch modes, and manage the local model without leaving the flow.
Broader language coverage
LocalLingo combines the selected translation model's supported languages with the current device's speech synthesis and speech recognition locales, so users can see what each language can actually do.
Privacy by design
After the translation model is installed, LocalLingo runs translation locally. Text, audio input, and history stay on the device by default, with no login and no cloud translation dependency.
Local AI runtime
The current app build focuses on the stable Q4_K_M GGUF model path. Smaller 2-bit and 1.25-bit variants can be added after runtime support is fully ready.
Questions
Translation works offline after a compatible model has been downloaded. Model download itself requires network access.
Speech recognition depends on iOS language and device support. LocalLingo clearly separates translation support from speech input and playback support.
The first release prioritizes the stable Q4_K_M path. Smaller variants will be enabled only when the underlying runtime can load and generate reliably.
Coming soon
We are preparing the product for TestFlight and App Store readiness, with a focus on stability, privacy, and a polished global English experience.
